TLILIC0003 - Licence to operate a forklift truck

This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. The training consists of theory and practical, once competent, you will be eligible to set the Safework NSW high risk work licence assessment.

Course Overview - Standard 3 Day Course

This program offers attendees the necessary knowledge and hands-on experience to operate machinery proficiently. Operators will be able to showcase their theoretical and practical skills up to, or even surpassing, the stipulated licensing requirements.

Developed in alignment with the High Risk Licence Regulations enacted in October 2007, this forklift training initiative aims to certify forklift operators. 

It is open to all individuals seeking this qualification.

Successful completion of this course, offered by CTPM Australasia (RTO 91301), results in a Nationally Recognised High Risk Work licence.

On successful completion of this course you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the following Unit of
Competency; TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck

Cost

$350 Course Training Cost

A fee of $86.50 is payable to Safework NSW via your local post office.

This fee is payable at your local post office after successful completion of the course and assessment.

Duration

3 Day Course –

On Completion the candidate will be able commence work immediately

All practical will be conducted at CTPM training centre

Learning Outcomes

  • You will also be issued with a Notice of Satisfactory Assessment, this is an interim licence issued by the SafeWork NSW Assessor when you pass your test.

    This training and assessment is conducted in line with requirements set out in the Conditions for conducting HRW licence assessments in NSW under the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 and the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2017.

Course Pre-Requisites

Must have basic English literacy skills and be 18 years of age or older

  • Personal Safety Procedures
  • Emergency Procedures
  • Forklift Stability
  • Safe Working Load
  • Routine Inspections
  • Refuelling
  • Start Up and After Start Checks
  • Hazard Identification / Hazard Control
  • Safe Operating Guidelines
  • Use of Man Cages, Booms or Jibs

Assessment Requirements

This course requires in-class training and practical assessment.

  • In-class training consists of one day attendance of classroom-based training, theory, practical activities and allocated breaks
  • The assessment is on a the 3rd day.

Course Overview - Advanced 1 Day Course

This program offers attendees the necessary knowledge and hands-on experience to operate machinery proficiently. Operators will be able to showcase their theoretical and practical skills up to, or even surpassing, the stipulated licensing requirements.

The candidate will be able to complete all necessary study requirements online in there own convenience and when ready can book in to complete the final assessment. The applicant will need to complete a half day training session to be eligible to sit the half day Safework NSW assessment.

Successful completion of this course, offered by CTPM Australasia (RTO 91301), results in a Nationally Recognised High Risk Work licence.

  • This course requires the applicant study and learn all activity and assessment materil in there own time. Support is offered via email or phone if required.
  • The applicant will than book in a date complete there half day practical and and half day assessment allowing for a single day of down time instead of 3.
